More Design Team Items...

Boy I haven't been on here for quite awhile but I have been busy making cards. I will have to post the rest later on.
The 2 items that I am showing I used paper that I got at A PAGE AT A TIME. The paper is called "Masterpiece Studios - Stemma Collection - "Snowman & Snowflakes". Very funky and sparkly paper! Thanks Jen!
My first card that I did was a "Gate Fold" card and my snowman is made out of circle punches! I am quite pleased how he turned out!

My second item is made out of this mug template that I found on SCS. It is used to hold a packet of Hot Chocolate. Unfortunately, I didn't have any packets of Hot Chocolate, so I made a bookmarker instead. Again, I am pleased how my little snowman turned out, I love snowmen, sooo cute!

Thanks for looking everyone and especially to those who leave comments or subscribe to my blog, I really really appreciate it! Cheers!

Quick but fun Card!

It was one of my "Masculine" co-worker's birthday so this is the card that I made him. It was very fitting for him as this co-worker of mine wears shorts ALL YEAR round, even when it is raining or snowing...CRAZY! You know, come to think about it, I don't know if I have ever seen him in pants...and I have worked at this place for over a year now!!!! LOL! Anyways inside the card I mentioned something on the lines of "to the dude who wears shorts all the time...cudos"! tee hee

I don't know if the penguin image is ringing some bells for you, but I free-hand drew the sunglasses on this little cutie and also added his mouth! Way cuter I think! I put crystal lacquer on his glasses to make them look shiny. On the black cardstock I used the cuttlebug folder "waves".

Speaking of Birthdays, "Little Monkeys" storage systems is turning 1 years old this month and so in honor of that, "you want a cookie" blog is offering some great Birthday blog candy for the event! Check it out!

Happy Rainy Weekend everyone! Cheers!

I never thought I would enjoy pink with Christmas colors but I am realizing it is my FAVORITE!!!! tee hee!

So excited ...!!!!!

One of my lovely co-workers announced she was expecting and I tell you I got so excited! I am also finding it weird that I get really excited for some and not for others (not that I'm happy about it, but just not so excited?) maybe it is because it is her FIRST one!!!!
Anyways, who cares how much I get excited, I am excited to be posting this card! I was so happy with the way it turned out!!! I bought "TeddyBella" just to make this card! I paper-pieced her top and pop-dotted her belly, and also the circles for the thought bubble, put crystal lacquer on the bags and the baby is from the cricut "New Arrival". Had soooo much fun making this card and I really enjoyed my color scheme. Hope you like! Cheers!

Busy Weekend - Design Team Designs #2, #3, & #4

Yeeha! It was a very rainy day on Saturday so I got lots of cards done, and I am glad to say some more cards for "A Page At A Time" website!!!

The first Card I did was simple but I didn't want to take the focus away from the BEAUTIFUL paper, "Snowflakes Glitter" from Page Masterpiece Studios. The snowflake is from a retired SU set "Snowflake Spot"and I used SU paper "Elegant Eggplant" and other light purple cardstock.

The Second card I used the same Snowflake Glitter Paper for the border and for the base of the card I used "Page It Takes Two: Navy Cardstock". The stamp is new, I bought it at a friend's scrapbooking store and it is from the stamp company Great Impressions. The snow is made from liquid applique.

Ok, I saved the BEST for last, I am really really pleased how my third card worked out! I used "Halobella", paper pieced her dress with "SU Almost Amethyst" cardstock, framed with unknown funky purples & blues paper, background paper is again the most beautiful paper I have ever seen " Page Masterpiece Studios: Stemma Collection: Snowflakes Glitter" and embellished with ribbon, silver stickles and glitter silver EBP. The snowflakes is used from a retired SU Christmas Stamp set.

The sentiment that I used for the card, is actually copied from a stamp sold from the Elzybell's website

I have more paper to work with for my Design Team Designing, but that will be posted in a couple of days, I get Tuesday off! LOL! Cheers everyone!

My FIRST Design Team Project!!!

Hello All!
Well I got my Designing Kit in the mail just the other day and couldn't wait to start creating! Jennifer sent us some BEAUTIFUL Christmas papers and ribbon to use!

My project is the "Shadow Box" Card using the beautiful paper "Snowfall Stripes" and "Tanzanite" cardstock. As you can tell by the pictures, the snowfall paper has actual glitter embellished into it and it has the coolest texture, very ridgid and 3D like. That is why I used it to do the Shadow Box card.

The snowman is from a retired SU Christmas set and of course I used liquid applique to make the snowflakes and snow "POP". Now I am off to design some more with my beautiful papers from "A Page At A Time" web store! Cheers!

PINK!

Good Evening Ladies! Well tonight I worked on 2 cards and they both had quite the PINK theme! One was a birthday card and the other a Baby Girl card! They were fun to make, but I must admit I am all pinked out!!!! LOL!

To make the cloud "puffy" I used Liquid Applique!!! LOVE THE STUFF! It goes on like a glue and then when you put a heat gun to it, BAM, poof city! Fun fun fun! Whenever I color a image, I am using Stampin' Up! Markers or watercolor pencils. I have not gotten into the Copic Rage just yet...got to save those pennies!

Unfortunately I did not make as many cards I wanted to, but I am hoping to make more tomorrow night and Tuesday forsure!!! Also I am expecting my FIRST designer kit in the mail any day (hopefully tomorrow), so I will be playing with that soon too! Yipppeeee! Good Night!

Hello Hello!

I have had a very hard stressful week this week, so I am VERY HAPPY tomorrow is FINALLY Friday, Yippppeeee!

I made this Paper-pieced Bella card for a friend's birthday whose I thought was born on the 20th of Oct but then the same person who told me THAT date, told me just the other day it was another date, and I had missed her birthday by over 2 weeks!!!! Grrrrrr and a BIG LAUGH!!! I will still give it to her when I see her! I cased this card and fell in love with it when I saw it! I think I found it on SCS, it was for a turning 40 card!!! I have to say this though, I just LOVE paper piecing Bellas, soooooo much fun!!!!

Happy Friday everyone and have a fabulous weekend! Cheers!

Happy Fall Y'All!

Well I finally finished my card for the Bellaholic's November Homepage Contest!!! Not really what I had invisioned but it will have to do! I feel the left top corner is quite bare, but in a way I didn't want to take away from the GORGEOUS fall paper that I was using!! You should see it in real life!!! Unbelievable!!! The paper is BO BUNNY and is called "Beautiful Life Leaf". Also you can't see them that well, but I used some of the "Bella Dots Glitter Light Cocoa" dots, very pretty, blingy dot stones!
Enjoy!
Off I go to make another Bella card, a birthday card...

I just LOVE Long Weekends....

Hello Hello! I hope all you Canadian folk had a very Happy Thanksgiving!!! I sure did and I am so happy that I had time to create and make a few cards!!!! I have a few birthdays coming up, so here is what I did so far! I also re-organized ALL my stamp/scrapbooking supplies, now does that ever feel good!!!!

Ok, my first card to show is this fairy card I made for a cousin of mine. I had the fairy pre-stamped from a friend, so I just colored her in tonight and cut her out, did some masking with the moon and the flowers, and made the stars out of silver stickles and decorated her wings with stickles also! I am quite happy how it turned out. Of course again, it is WAY prettier in real life but ah well....I'm working on it, on how to make my photos look as they do in real life!!!!

My second card is a Bella card! In real life the cardstock that I used is our Stampin' Up! GORGEOUS color "Taken with Teal", I so wish you could see how it truly looks BRIGHT & VIBRANT. I put stickles again on her pom pom on hat and her cupcake and did crystal lacquer on her balloons! Simple card but fun to make!

My third card, is a birthday card for an uncle. I have a hard time making masculine cards, since truly I am a girly girl when decorating and such, but I do like the owl stamp and my color choice!
Have a good short week everyone! I should hopefully post my bella card tomorrow night, that I am going to submit to the "Bellaholics Annoym. " November Homepage Contest! Hopefully I will get more than one vote than like last time! LOL!! I did have some awesome competition though!!! I am so glad I joined that group, so much fun!!!! Cheers!

WISH ME LUCK!!!!

I am so excited! I have an opportunity to apply to becoming a team member on a DESIGN TEAM!!! Yipppee! I would be a design team member for the website "Page at a Time". Here are three cards that I will be submitting for samples of my work. I just made the Christmas Bella last night and LOVE how it turned out!!! Of course the picture doesn't even do it justice in real life, but ah well! I put red stickles on Bella's dress, crystal lacquer on her boots, and used liquid applique for her hat and boot trim! So much fun to make!!! Of course they are put on with pop-dots to stand out and the 2 top red buttons are just dallops of red stickles!!! Wish me luck Everyone!!! Cheers!

Busy Bee, that is me!!!!

Hello Hello! Sorry it has been a while since I have last posted, work has had me CRAZY busy!!! I was looking through my card gallery though and would love to post some more of my past favorites! Enjoy looking!

My "Zindorf" Case Attempt...

My Copy
When I saw this Michelle Zindorf's card, I knew I was going to TRY and make it for a sympathy card that I had to make. I enjoyed making the card, too bad for the circumstance...anyways, here is the original and then my attempt...I was happy with how it turned out but in a way I don't think with mine, you can tell it is a leaf in a pool of water...what do you think? Just to note as well, I didn't have a brayer as Michelle used, so all my technique was sponging. I think that will be my next purchase is a brayer though. LOL!
WOW, as I post my photo up beside Michelle's I sure notice the difference of vibrancy of color...my photos are not doing my card's any justice as to what they look like in REAL life, any suggestions? Of course her colors are brighter than mine, but mine was somewhat vibrant as well...hmmmm

SUPPLIES USED:

SU Inks: Old Olive, Ballet Blue Blue, Cool Carribean, Always Artichoke

SU Paper: Whisper White and Always Artichoke

EBP: Clear

Part 2 of VanIsle SU Meeting - Pics of Make N ' Takes

Just thought I would post a few of the demo's from the meeting of the make n ' takes that we made! I would post all of them, but I am having trouble posting photos on this blog and until I figure it out, I am only going to post a few more! LOL! Thank you.

Projects from VanIsle Stampin' Up! Meeting - Sept 13/08

Yay, I got to finish some of the make n' takes that we did at the VanIsle SU Meeting! I couldn't wait and they were so much fun to do. And EASY!!!!

These first two projects were my absolute favorites!

1. Shadow Box Card

Supplies used: Real Red Paper, SU Markers, Liquid Applique (non SU), 1/2" striped grosgrain ribbon and the stamp set "Jolliest Time of the Year"

Here is a closer look at the Shadow Box Card at a slight angle, you can see the 3D of the applique and even though it is a bit hard to tell here, the face is 3D also!! You stamp the Santa's face again on a separate pc of paper , cut it out and then apply over the first santa's face, way too cool!

I LOVE Liquid Applique!!! It goes on like glue, looks like glue, but when you put a heat gun to it, it puffs right up!!! FANTASTIC!!!! I love making things pop out, make it more dimensional...I hope they will be making more colors in the future!!!! For the white applique, make sure not to heat it too long or it will burn!

2.Diaper Fold Packet

This was an amazing little project to make!!! You only use 1 sheet of Double Sided 6x6 paper and start folding - you do not use any adhesive!!!!

I love this packet because you could make it for so many things: ornaments, party favors, gift for teacher or anyone, door prizes, etc. LOVE IT!!!!

Sorry this picture is not right-side up (anyone know how to fix this?) because when I took and edited the picture, it was the right way!!!????
Anyways, I am posting it because to show you how you can decorate a simple York Pattie for your prize in your little packet!!! mmm York Patties, they are good! And if you want to make a whole bunch of these, you can get a HUGE bucket of these Patties at COSTCO!

Stampin' Up! VanIsle Meeting...WOW!

I just have to write a quick post to say how EXCITED I am!!!! Just came back from an all day meeting in Nanaimo for Stampin' Up! - The VanIsle Group (SU Demonstrators from Van. Isl.) and it was wonderful!! During a part of the meeting we get to do make n' takes and they were fabulous, EASY, FUN, and did I mention FABULOUS?!!! I cannot wait to get my club going and get teaching these fabulous items! I wish I could post a pic of them but I admit I did not fully finish any of them because I wanted to make sure I would be able to partake in ALL of the make n' takes and let me tell you , I barely finished...but there were alot of them!!! LOL!

PLEASE come back soon to check out the items as I will hopefully be finishing them on Wed night and will be able to post some pics!!! Cheers!

Full Moon Splender...

This is my first card at attempting to do "Masking". I am glad it turned out (the moon is a little low but that is ok) for the most part! The Stamp set is from SU called "Noble Deer", which is now unfortunately discountinued but still a wonderful stamp set to use!

Thanks for looking! Cheers!

Cupcakes Anyone?

I just had to show the cupcake card that I made for my friend's little girl who was turning 5! When I saw this on SCS, I fell in love! Not only do I LOVE real cupcakes, now I am loving to make these cute cute cards! Thanks Lindsey! With the template it is actually very easy to make and so much fun to design!

Here is the link of where to find photos and template to make these yummy cards!

Enjoy and there's no calories, yippeee!
